Step1 Greeting, Warn-up
1.Greet to the students.
2.Sing a song “days of the week ”
Step 2 Revision
Ask the students about today’s weather and review the word “rainy”.
Using the PPT to ask the weather and review these words “sunny , cloudy , snowy , and teach the new word “windy”.
Step3 Learn to Say
Lead in :
T : What’s the weather like tomorrow ? Do you know ?
Ss : It’s going to be rainy .
Do you want to know the weather about next week? Today Ken wants to know the weather about next Wednesday .So he asks his Mom “What’ s the weather like on Wednesday ?”.His Mom answers “It’s going to be rainy.” Read the dialog after the teacher and practice it in groups .
Practice the weather from Monday to Sunday by using all kinds of various .Such as ”between boys and girls , in groups , in pairs “.
Play a game
Show a “Lucky Wheel “ to ask some pairs to play a game about the weather (Click on the wheel ,One asks the weather ,the other answers it ) .
Expend
Here’s the weather report about next week( from Monday to Sunday) . in Beijing .Ask some pairs to practice it in the front of the class .
Step 4 Match and Say
1 . Listen to the story “Uncle Jack’s farm “in Lesson1,and answer the four questions.
1).What’s the weather like today ?
2).What are they going to do ?
3).What are they going to do on the farm ?
4).What is Ken going to do tomorrow ?
2. Have the students complete Part 2 ,and ask a student to do them in the front .Then check the answers .
3 . Show the five pictures and ask five students to describe these five pictures .Then the whole class say together .
