Step Two:Presentation.
Read freely:T:Read the dialogue quickly, then circle the words you don’t know .(学生快速阅读对话,初步感知对话大意,并找出不认识的单词,联系上下文或生词表来猜测找到单词的汉译。这是阅读的第一步,也是关键的一步。要求学生大声读,便于教师了解学生的阅读情况。)
Learn words:parents ,leave ,left ,miss .(通过让学生译,读,拼,记等形式学习新词,并由新词引出重点句型When are you leaving ?)
Learn :When are you leaving ?(coming,going,beginning...)(讲解并板书句型。)
Read and answer:T:Read the dialogue again .Then answer the following questions.
What’s the date today ?
When is Jenny leaving?
How many days left?(带着问题再次精读对话,更深入的了解对话内容,学生在解决问题的同时,阅读理解能力也有了相应的提高。)
Ss:1) It’s July 7th.
On July 10th.That’s this Friday.
Only three days left .(通过学生问题的解决,引入本课的重点句型并板书。引导学生理解并运用。)
Drill the sentences:

--On... That’s this/next...
Only...days/week left.(运用7月份的日历挂图引导学生逐句操练,使学生能理解并能熟练运用。)
Step Three:Consolidation and exercises:
1.Dialogue in pairs.(运用挂图进行对话操练直观,有效。)
2.Work in pairs.(出示一个有活动安排的日历,让学生自选一个活动编对话,并进行对话操练。对所学的句型是一个巩固和运用的过程。)
3.Read the dialogue.(再次读对话,分段读,指名读,分角色读,有感情的读。)
4.Role play.(角色扮演,小组先进行练习,再展示,其他同学给出评价.)
