Teaching procedures

Step 1 Greeting & Warm up

1. Greeting

T: Good afternoon, boys and girls.

S: Good afternoon, Julian.

T: Look at the aims in this class. Read them carefully. Can you do them? Can you?

S: Yes.

2. Sing a song

T: First, let’s enjoy a song.(播放歌曲视频)

Let’s listen to the music. Guess! What holiday is it? (播放音乐)

Let’s sing together.

S: New Year!

T: Yes, it’s New Year’s Day.

T:Do you know when is New Year’s Day?(出示日历)

S:1月1日

T:Yes. It’s on January the first. What can we say on New Year’s Day?(出示相互问候图)

S: Happy New Year!

T: Yes. We can greet each other Happy New Year. Now you please greet to each other with Happy New Year.

S:Work in pairs.

教师和学生相互问候。

Step 2 Presentation

1. Learn the new words

(ppt出示物品用盒子遮住一部分,学生猜测)

T: New Year’s Day is coming soon. I have some presents in my boxes for you. Guess ,what’s this?

S: It’s a ball.

T: Yes, It’s a ball. Read the word.同时操练句型:What’s this? It’s a ball.

Chant: Ball, ball, it’s a ball.
