Step 1. Warm-up.

1.Greetings

T: Good afternoon, class.

Ss: Good afternoon, Ms Ding.

2.Say a chant. (通过say a chant环节，创设学习英语的氛围，激起学生的旧知.)

Step 2. Pre-reading

1.Learn: Is this a/an …? Yes, it is. /No, it isn’t.

T points a book and asks：Is this a book?（学生没有学过这个句型，或许不会回答，师给予提示：Yes, it is.）

Ss read after the teacher : Is this a/an …? Ss say it one by one.

(3) T takes out a box and asks: Is this a book?

S: No.

T: No, it isn’t.

2. Play a guessing game and learn : Yes, it is. /No, it isn’t. Pen ,pencil, ruler ,rubber…

PPT presents a part of something, Ss use the sentence pattern: Is this a/an …? to guess.

Teach：Yes, it is. /No, it isn’t.
