Step 1 Warm-up

1. Greetings

2. Enjoy some pictures about poor school and poor students.

【设计意图:通过观看图片,创设悲伤的氛围,同时让学生对贫困山区的孩子有同情之心,也对生活充满感恩。】

Step 2 Presentation and practice

1. Teach new words

(1) T. Do you want to help these poor students?

Ss: Yes.

T: You should know these words first.

(Teach: pen, pencil, pencil case, crayon, ruler, rubber, schoolbag.)

2. Donation

( Ss donate their stationaries to poor area students and try to ues sentence pattern: This is…/ This … is for….)

3. Play a game: guessing game

T presents some pictures and lets students guess.

A: Is this/ that…?

B: Yes, it is./ No, it isn’t.

Wang Bing: Is that your pencil?

Mike: No, it isn’t.
