A video between Wendy and Cassie.

To arouse students’ interest in learning English and lead in the words some and any.

Presentation &Practice

(Wendy’s morning ) Wendy’s shopping list.

Look at the shopping list, then ask and answer in pairs. To help students sense the usage of some and any in real situation. Wendy’s note.

Help Wendy write a note for her father. To help students master the usage of some and any. Grammar A

Read 2 groups of sentences and work out the rule in pairs or groups. To direct the students to summarize the rule of some and any. Practice

Finish off the exercise on the hand-out. To find out if students have understood the usage of some and any.

Presentation &Practice

(Wendy’s letter) Can you guess the meaning of the words? To develop the students’ the skill of guessing the words by using the word-building. Complete the letter. To develop students sense of learning in real situation.

Grammar B

Read the letter and work out the rule in groups. To direct the students to summarize the rule of somebody ,anybody ,nobody ,etc. Production

(Wendy’s classroom) Play a game.

Look at the picture for 1 minute, then cover it ,ask and answer questions using some , any, somebody, anybody, nobody ,etc . To consolidate the knowledge in this class and encourage the students’ the skills of co-operation and competition. Practice

Finish off the exercise on the hand-out. To see if the students have mastered and get them be close to the to High School Entrance Examination. Progress
