【教学步骤】
Ⅰ. Lead-in
Get Ss to look at some pictures and tell the names of the sports.
Ⅱ. Oral practice
Show some questions about what sport you like best and get Ss to write down the answers on the exercise sheets.
Pair work: get Ss to ask and answer these questions in pairs.
Get Ss to retell what sport their partners like best.
Ⅲ. Presentation
Tell Ss there are 5 parts in a personal essay and what these parts are.
Get Ss to find out these parts in Exercise A, P27.
Ⅳ. Writing practice
Get Ss to write a personal essay: My favourite sport.
Show 2 of the Ss’essays, put the mistakes right.
Group work: check the essays, according to the forms on the exercise sheet.
Ⅴ. Homework
Revise the questions about what sport you like best.
