The content of my lesson is the fourth period of Unit 2 in Go for it. I’m going to begin this lesson from six parts: analysis of the teaching materials, analysis of the students, the teaching methods and the learning strategies, the teaching procedures, and board design. First, let me talk about the teaching materials.
Part One: Analysis of the Teaching Materials
1. Teaching Content
The topic of unit 2 is aimed at encouraging students to talk about volunteering and making students know how to help other people. The lesson I choose is the fourth period of unit 2, which mainly talks about how to help others and say thank you to people who helped them. It enables students to understand the importance of offering help and being thankful.

To review some words and master some key sentences like disabled, make a big difference, can’t use his arms or legs well...
Be able to talk about common volunteer activities and convey students’ own ideas of volunteering.
Be able to convey students’ ideas of volunteering activities that they like with the words which have learned in this unit.
Competence Objectives
To know how to use the words, phrases and sentences;
To know how to talk about their views of volunteering
To master the communicative language
Emotion Objectives
To know that there are many people that need students to help. Being helpful doesn’t means doing some great things. Instead, it means that students themselves need to have a loving heart so that they can start from the trivial. And they need to know that what kind volunteer activities they like and know how to help others.
3. Key and difficult points
Key Points: A. Know how to use target language to talk about what volunteer activities they want to do.
Master the key words and key points that they learned in this unit.
Difficult Points: Know how to write a letter with target language to convey the volunteer activities that they want to be engaged with and the reasons why they want to be engaged with.
