(二)情感态度价值观目标

帮助学生摆脱对动物惧怕心理,教育学生应该保护野生动物。

二、教学重难点

Key vocabulary,?理解一般过去时的动词短语,用绘制flow map的方法理解掌握课文内容,及其他阅读技巧。

教学过程

Ⅰ. Warming-up and leading in.

Greet students

Show students some pictures of Tippi, ask them what the girl in the picture is doing and give a s short introduction of Tippi. Tell the students not to be afraid of the animals.

Play a game with the students, to have a brain storm. Ask students what kind of animals are people sometimes afraid of . Divide the students into two groups, boys and girls. Each student name a kind of animal will get a stroke to make a star, the first group to finish the star wins.

Post another question, is there any chance that we can meet these wild animals? And lead to new words learning.

【设计意图】用抓人眼球的图片引起学生的兴趣。用头脑风暴的方式使学生复习学过的动物词汇,调动他们的思维,学生的参与力度进一步提高。

Ⅱ.Reading

Before reading

Show the title and the picture in the book. Ask the students if they are afraid of the snakes and explain why or why not. Then ask the students to guess what this article is about.

【设计意图】在阅读文章之前,让学生根据文章题目和教材配图猜测文章内容,获得文章大意。

While reading

Read the first two paragraphs and answer the following questions:

Q1. How was Lisa' s weekend?

Q2. Where did Lisa and her family go last weekend?

Q3. How did they go there?

Q4. Why did Lisa go to sleep early?

Then check answers.

Read the third paragraph and answer the following questions:

Q1. How did Lisa feel when she saw the snake?
