Teaching- focus:

Using the simple tense to talk about the past events

e.g., Qu Yuan was born about two thousand years ago in China.

Asking Wh- questions to find out specific information

e.g., What was Qu Yuan’s job? Why was he sad? When is the dragon boat festival?

Asking How questions to find out specific information

e.g., How do people remember Qu Yuan today?

Teaching Aids:

Multimedia equipments and ppt.

Class Profile

The students are from Grade Six of East Shang’nan Middle School. Neither the teacher nor the students are familiar with each other. However the teacher would try the best to get language and emotional communication with the students as soon as possible. Most of the students are quiet and shy in English classes. This is the first period of Unit 3. The whole procedure will be focused on the story. More activities will be designed to draw the students’ attention and arouse their enthusiasm.
