Step 1 Lead in
Talk about the colors in the picture shown on the screen, using object clauses as the followings:
We can see (that) there are many colors in the picture.We know (that) different colors represent different things.
Talk about the characteristics of Super Wings according to the colors of them.
I think (that) Jett is powerful.
We know (that) Donnie can create many new things. I am glad (that) super wings always help children with their problems.We are sure (that) they will help more children.
(Ask students to pay attention to the sentences listed on the screen and tell their sentence pattern)
Step 2 Presentation
Explain what Object Clause is;
Students read the example sentences and learn the usage of the object clause introduced by that.
(Students study the sentences and find out the verbs and adjectives which the object clauses can be put after.)
Have a summary and then do some exercises. Meanwhile, learn the new word: personal after checking the anwers.
