Have the students t alk about their weekend’s plans with the activities in the pictures.
Tell the class wh at he/she is looking forward to (the weekend, the May Day holiday and the summer holiday) and what I’m going to do. Present the new words and phrases or expressions in this unit by ppt. Then teach the new knowledge to them.
1. Ask the studen ts to have a look at the pictures and read the passage quickly. Then have them match each part with a picture.
2. Ask them to read the passage quickly and have them answer questions , then match the people with things they are going to do.
3. Ask the Ss to read Part A carefully and answer two questions.
4. Ask the Ss to read Part B carefully and complete a table.
5. Ask the Ss to read Part C carefully and complete a passage with the given words.
6.Ask the students to retell the text one by one
1. Ask the S s to do the survey in their groups and then write down their partners’ answers for the questions.
2. Have the S s lear n the model sentence and write about their partners in similar sentences.
3. Have some groups report.
At the end of the c lass, tell the Ss “If you are going to do something, just do it. Never be a Mr. / Miss Going-to-do.”
And make sure they know.
