Walk around the school and know the locations of buildings before class. Teaching procedure Teacher’s activities Students’ activities Purpose Warming up: To organize a game to review the prepositions. To enjoy the game and review the prepositions by using them. To create an English learning atmosphere and review some prepositions to get ready for the text. Pre-task

preparation To show the PPT and help the students get familiar with the text.

2. To hand out some cards with building names on them. 1.To look at the picture and guess what they are doing.

2. To read the building names and get familiar with the text. To arouse the interest in the story.

While-task

Procedure 1. To organize an activity and play the recorder. Then show the picture of the school layout.

2. To play the tape recording again and show some sentences.

3. To play the tape recording of the text again and help the students to understand the text.

4. To show the pictures and help the students to learn the exclamations. 1. To listen to the tape recorder and locate the different buildings by putting the cards according to the listening.

2. To listen again and try to tell the sentences are “True” or “False”.

3. To listen and read after the tape recording.

4. To describe something with the exclamations. 1. To practise the prepositions and buildings when listening.
