Teaching procedures 教学过程
Step 1 The teaching of the sound time
Warm up
I say you do: teacher say the rhyme and Ss do it.
You say you do: Ss say the rhyme by themselves and do the actions.
Teach the sound of the letter s
Ss read the sound and the words about “s” .
T: Now, I have a new rhyme about S. Let’s read.
3.Teach the rhyme about S
T: Sam is sad. Do you want to know why? Let’s see.
Ss see the video and learn “ turn round and round”
T: Now let’s see what is Sam doing again.
Ss see the video and learn “ Don’t fall to the ground.”
Then they read the rhyme together and show the rhyme in a group of four.
Step 2 The teaching of the cartoon time
Pre-reading
Discuss about things they can do on birthday.
T shows the cake and teach the sentence “What a nice cake!”
Show the picture of Sam and teach the sentence “ Make a wish.”
While-reading
Listen and answer
Ss listen to the tape and answer the question “What does Sam want?”
Then they practice the sentence pattern “ I want…” and read and imitate the sentences. At last they practice the sentence pattern with their partner.
Watch and answer
Ss watch the cartoon and answer the question “How do Sam’s friends feel?” At first they are happy and at last they are unhappy, angry and hungry.
Read and find
Ss read and find out “What do they say when they are angry?” Then teacher teach the sentence pattern “It’s time for…”
