Teaching aims and learning objectives:
By the end of the lesson, the students should be able to:
1. understand the story and find out what’s on grandpa’s farm;
2. get to know the meaning of “these, those ,apples, pears ,pigs , cows” both in spoken and written forms, and pronounce them clearly;
3. get to know the singular form and plural form of nouns;
4. get to know the differences between “these” and “those” ,and use them correctly;
5. use structures like “What are these / those ? They’re ...s . Are these / those …s ?” etc. to talk about things on the farm ;
6. get interested in the nice things in our life.

1. understanding the story as a whole;
2. role playing the story with the right pronunciation, intonation and sentence stress.
