三、学习者特征分析

Through test paper examination and daily observation, I have made some analysis of students’ study characteristics in Grade 4 from the following 3 aspects.

Knowledge preparations: Students from Grade 4 have mastered a little basic knowledge of English grammar and common sentence patterns through one-year English study in Grade 3. They have already known how to say some fruit in English like apple and pear.

Ability preparations: Students can describe fruit and communicate with simple English sentences.

Moral preparations: Students have understood the importance of good cooperation and proper competition. They can share their opinions with their classmates. They like group discussion and group competition. They also like playing games. Some puzzle games will increase their study interests.

四、教学策略选择与设计

Task-based method is used in this class.

Brainstorming, puzzle games, watching videos, free-talk, listening and reading, magic bags, role-play, group discussion, making a survey are all the activities presented in this class.

I hope all the students can take part actively in the class through these colorful teaching design.

五、教学重点及难点

Key point: Help students use the sentence pattern “Do you have…? Yes, I do. No, I don’t” “Let us…” to ask and answer questions.

Difficult point: Help students pay attention to the pronunciation of word “a banana, a grape, a mango, a pineapple”
