Step 1: Warming up
1. Greetings.
T: It’s a new day. Boys and girls, how are you today?
Ss: I’m fine.
T: Great!You’re all fine. And I hope you’re happy, too. Let’s enjoy a rhyme, ok?
2. Enjoy a rhyme: What would you like?
设计意图:本课以一首轻松活泼的韵律诗What would you like?作为本节课的导入环节,由歌曲中出现的有关食物的单词延伸既复习了旧知,又引出新知内容。
Step 2: Pre-reading
1. T: What can you see in the rhyme?
S1: I can see a pie and some rice..
T: Good, the pie and the rice are food. What other food can you name?
2. T: And I have a question: Where can we buy or eat them? You can speak in Chinese.
3. Lead in
T: Yes, maybe you can buy or eat them at a snack bar.
Today we will learn Unit6 At a snack bar.
4. Learn some new words.
T: At the snack bar, we can buy or eat many kinds of food, let me introduce some for you.
Ss read and learn.
(Tips: 1. cup是指有把手的瓷杯,glass是指玻璃杯。2.milk和coffee等饮料类单词是不可数名词。我们可以说a glass of milk,some milk,千万不能说成a milk,some milks)
5. Play a game and check.
见到图片就大声地读出单词,见到单词就说I’d like…(我想要…)
设计意图:由韵律诗延展与学生交流,培养学生思考、倾听和口头表达能力,顺势揭示本节课的课题At the snack bar。在词汇巩固环节我运用了“Magic eyes”的游戏,并渗透练习句型I’d like…,既能激起学生的学习兴趣又能帮助学生有效操练理解所学内容。

T: Some of our friends like to go to the snack bar.
2. Watch the cartoon and try to answer: Who are they?
