Step1: Pre-reading

1.Play a game.

T:Let’s play a game.Please read the words,numbers and phrases quickly,but if you see a bomb,you should say“bomb”loudly.

(最后一幅图呈现单词并连成When do you get up?引出重点句型)

T:Please read together.

Ss:When do you get up?

设计意图:游戏既唤醒了学生以往的知识(日常活动及时间的表达),又巧妙地引出重点句型”When do you get up?”,让学生迅速地进入英语学习情境,为随后的教学做了很好的铺垫。

Watch and answer

(1)T: Look! This is my day.

I get up at six o’clock.

I work in the office at eight o’clock.

At four thirty, I go home.

At seven fifteen, I have dinner with my family. (PPT播放一组图片)

(2)T: Do you remember when do I get up?

S: At six.

T: Yes. I get up at six in the morning.Here, in the morning =a.m.

So we also can say: I get up at six am.

(3)T: Then when do I go home?

S: At four thirty.

T:I go home at four thirty in the afternoon.Here,in the afternoon=p.m.

Teach the expression of time

T: Now can you find the difference between them?(PPT出示整点、非整点,请学生总结规律。)
