A good sight. One student stands up. The rest ask him “What, what, what can you see?” The one stands up and says “I can see ... On/in/under...” The last picture is “Ken”.→to read.

Ken is good at drawing. He has drawn a lot of pics. He has drawn two pics for each scene.

Spot the difference. Ss need to pick out the differences between the two pics by using “I can see...in pic 2 but I can’t see it in pic 1.” The last one is a monkey in the tree→elicit song time.

Make a new song. A hot dog in the box; a chicken on the hill; some red pens on the bed.

Eg: What can you see, what can you see on the tree, on the tree?

I can see a mango, I can see a mango on the tree, on the tree.

Some red pens on the bed→Ken’s bedroom

Ask some questions: What are these? What colour? Where are they? Where are they now?

Read these words: Ken, ten, red, pen, bed and desk.

To teach the sound of the letter “e”.

Make a new sentence by using the above words.

Say a chant:

red pens, red pens

ten red pens

red pens, red pens

on the bed

red pens, red pens

on the desk

red pens, red pens

they are Ken's

Watch and answer: What time is it? It’s ten to ten→read it and teach the Chinese meaning.

Read the rhyme time.

Tim and Ken are talking on online. Here are their dialogues:
