二、教学重难点
(一)本课教学重点是:
a.能正确运用本课时主要句型What’s his/her name? His/her name is …He /She is…与他人交流描述自己的朋友。适量拓展He /She has…更详细描述同学朋友的特征。
b.学习描述人物特征的词汇 strong, friendly。
(二)本课教学难点是:
a.What’s her name? /What’s his name?的区分与运用。
b.能够向别人简单介绍自己朋友的姓名和特征。
c.词汇 his /her的区分与发音。
三、教学过程

Play together.(说反义词、短语、句子,有层次的说做活动)
与学生说说做做,复习与本课题有关的单词、短语及句型。如:tall-short; fat-thin; big eyes-small eyes. I have a small mouth... It has…等。
T: Well, I think friends can pay together. Now let’s pay a game. I say “Yes,yes.” You say “ No,no.” So I say “Tall, tall” You“…”,引导学生明白游戏的规则。 (1)新课伊始,交代本节课与学生交朋友这一情感主线。
(2)针对四年级低年级的学生特点,教师语言本着示范、引导、启发的原则,在40分钟的课堂上进行简单的交流,加上有动感节奏的说做活动,目的是创设轻松愉快的学习氛围,调动学生的知识储备,同时启发学生的思维,有层次的复习与本课题有关的单词、短语及句型。 Presentation Lead in the main scene
(1)接上个环节,再来玩一个猜人的游戏。屏幕呈现John的轮廓图,教师描述,让学生猜:Who’s he ? What’s his name? 引: His name is John.
教His name is…并板书。学生从中感知理解主句型What’s his name? His name is…的含义。
(2)通过游戏引出对话的主要人物John,交代文本的情景并继续运用与学生一起学习、表演等这一课堂主线贯穿文本的学习。John and his mom are at home. They are talking about something. Now,let’s learn together. Listen to the whole dialogue and find out: They are talking about: John’s family or John’s friend.
