[设计意图]:利用“When do you get up?”的歌曲迅速拉近教师与学生之间的距离,再改编歌词用唱的方式一问一答激活学生头脑中已有的知识经验。既是对前期知识的复习巩固,又是对本节课学习的有效铺垫。

Step 1. Warm-up

T: Please read the clock and guess “Peter’s day”

S: You...at...

T: Where’s Peter from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.?

S: He’s at school.

[设计意图]:通过引入Peter,将学生直接带入情境中,再次利用歌曲的一问一答形式,增加了活动的趣味性,同时又引出了本课的主题“My school life”

Step 2. Presentation and practice

Scene 1 “Growing in the classroom”

1). Listen to the tape.

T: What place is Peter going to show us around first?

Ss: Classroom.
