1.Show the vowel “o”, guide the kids to sound it. And show a consonant “s”, guide the kids to sound it. Then, let the kids try to sound “os” together.
2.Ask the kids to give some words that have “ols” in it or I will give them some them some words and have them try to sound.
Students may say: fos gos yos...
3.Write “hos” on the Bb, and “hose” on the next row.
Guide the kids to distinguish “hos” and “hose”, make sure that they are different.
In the word “line”, there is a silent e, and silent “e” helps the vowel “o” to say the second sound.
