Students can understand and use the sentence pattern of “--Do you like...?--Yes,I do. /No,I don’t.” for expression.

Teaching Points:
Ⅰ.Teaching Key Point:
Students are able to listen, read and write the new words and their plural form.
Ⅱ. Teaching Difficult Point:
To grasp the correct pronunciation of the new words and to train their ability of using the sentence patterns in the real situation.
Teaching Procedures:
Step 1. Warming up
Daily greeting.
Let students enjoy some interesting pictures, including elephant, tiger, rabbit, lion, cat and dog.
Step 2. Presentation
(1) Words learning and practice
Show some pictures in the board and ask them “What is this? ” .
Then ask them to read the words one by one after the teacher in different ways.
And let students practice the new words in the sentence pattern “--What is this? --It is a... .”
(2) Sentences learning and practice
Show two pictures in the board and ask them “Do you like ...?”
Then teach students if they want to ask others’ favorite animals, they can use the sentence “Do you like ...?” and answers are “Yes, I do.” or “No, I don’t.”
Ask students to make conversations with their partners, one ask and the other one answer and then change the roles.
