Step 1 Greeting and warming up
Teacher and students greet each other as usual. Then teacher asks ,
T: Is everyone here?
S:Yes.
Then teacher find one student doesn’t seem well and asks him what was
wrong with him, help Ss answer “He has a headache.” Today we will learn
something about illnesses.”
Step 2 New words and key languages
1.T shows different pictures to lead in new words and key sentences.
T:What’s wrong with her/him?(What’s the matter with him/her?)
Ss: He/She has a cold/fever/cough/headache/backache/stomachache.
Teacher helps Ss to read the words and sentences.
Teach new words in the same way.
2.Read and remember all the new words by Ss themselves.
T shows all the words on the screen, and let’s Ss read all the new words together, each twice. Pay attention to the red letters.
