6．学生在英语学习中有一定的成就感，在积极参与教学活动中体会学习的快乐，并保持英语学习的持续兴趣。

二、教学重点

1．重点掌握句型：Where is …? 及其回答，表达位置所在。

2． 把握方位词的特征，能说明为什么是方位词。

3. 学生在表达方位时对于句型：It’s in the east of…与It’s on the east of…的使用容易混淆。

三、教学过程

（一）热身复习

1. Greetings

Hello, boys and girls! Good morning, boys and girls!

How are you?

2. Free talk

3. Play a game

根据老师的口令做动作．例如： Please turn to the north.

Please turn to the south. Please turn to the east. Please turn to the west. 老师随意发出口令，学生要尽快执行口令。老师可以不断加快发出口令的速度，以加大活动难度。

（二）呈现

1, 老师出示一张中国地图进行介绍：“What’s this?” (This is a map of China.) Yes, it’s a map of China .I’m from Weifang. It’s in the east of Chin. 如果有必要，可以用中文稍加解释和说明，然后向学生们提问：“Where are you from? Where is your pen friend from?’’如果学生能说出其他国家的名称，要及时鼓励表扬，并带领其他学生一起学习。

向学生提问： Where are you from? Where is it on the map? Please find it on the map. (I’m from Liaocheng, it's in the east of China.)

2. 出示Simon的图片，提问：Who is he? (He’s Simon. He’s Daming’s cousin .Where is he from? (He’s from Now York, America.)

3. 出示美国地图，提问： This is a map of America, can you find New York? 在地图上标注east, west, south, north. 帮助学生复习这些单词，引导学生在图上找到纽约的位置。Where is New York? It’s in the east of America.

（三）练习

1. 把全班分成两组，看活动一的图进行对话练习。
