T: today is really hot. I feel very thirsty. Now, I want to drink some juice. (Teacher shows a bottle of juice and use a paper cup to drink some juice)

T: Do you want to drink some juice? (Some students share the juice by using paper cup till the bottle become empty.)

T: Now, we have no juice because the bottle is empty.

(2)Key / New words and sentences

Learn empty

Show how to spell and write this word on the blackboard.

Teach the pronunciation of this word.

Learn the opposite of empty--full

T: We can see the bottle is empty, then I want to put some water into this bottle. (teacher use paper cup to add some water into the empty bottle.)

T; Who wants to try? (Ask some students to add water into the bottle until the bottle is full.)

T: Now, is this bottle empty? No, it is full.

Show how to spell and write this word on the blackboard.

Teach the pronunciation of this word.

(3) (PPT) Show some pictures and ask students to say the sentences. Last picture shows a basket and learn this word.

Learn basket

Show four basket and teach the plural form.

Ask students to put their fruits in the basket.
