(1). Pre-reading
Listen to the first part and answer questions.
What’s the boy’s name?
What’s the school’s name?
How many students and teachers are there in his school?
How many classroom buildings are there in his school?
Where is the school library?
Listen to the second part and answer questions.
Where are teacher’s offices?
Where do they have music class?
Where do they have art class?
Where do they have computer class?
Do they play computer games? Why?
Ask Ss to read the questions first, then listen and answer.
(2). While-reading
Present the text on PPT and underline the answers of these 10 questions and ask them to check and repeat the answers again to make sure they can not only find out the target information, but also know where the answers are and how to highlight them.
After this activity, invite Ss to read the whole text after me to confirm if there are any problems in pronunciations and intonations.
