Warm up: Greeting

Lead in: Ask some questions about the most popular fable book and the writer Aesop.

Talk about some fables which they knew.

Lead some students say some features about fables.

T: What kind of books do you like to read?

S: I like to read story books.

T: I am going to introduce a kind of story book for you. Can you guess what the book is?

(Show the second ppt picture) Try to read the words, AE pronounces i:, s sss, o ooo, p ppp. F fff, a aaa, bl bobobo, e is a silent letter. esop, This is a people, a very famous writer. He wrote many stories. And all the stories are fables. What is a fable? Who knows?

T: All the fables are not true stories. These stories give us lessons about moral. Today I’m going to tell you a story from Aesop’s fables. The characters are a lion and a mouse.
