Step 1 Warm up
1.TPR
The teacher sings: If you are happy, please stand up, say hello, clap your hands…
The students do according to what the teacher sings.
Purpose: Let the students be ready for the lesson.
2.Teaching objects.
The teacher shows Sound time, Rhyme time, Checkout time & Ticking time, the students read one by one.
Step 2 Presentation
Sound time
1 Shooting the balloons.
Show four balloons. There is a word on each balloon. (rat, save, seed, lend)
The students choose one balloon to read the word. If he/she is right, the balloon will be shot.
Purpose: Preview the sounds of the letters the students have learned this term.
2. The sounds of letter Ii.
Show a pig balloon with a word wine. The students read it.
Change the word wine into win, let the students read.

The student say a chant:

The students example the words with letter Ii which pronounced / I /.
The students read the sentence of Sound time: Before eating fish, let’s listen to some English.
The students read the new words: fist, rid, Chris.
