Step1: warming up .
Listen to the tape: The Sheriff’s trick.
Find beginning of the story, developing of the story and end of the story.
Step2: Presentation.
Read beginning of the story. (pictures1-6)
Find their answers:
Where is the sheriff going ?
Why is the sheriff going there?
3.Read developing of the story (pictures7-9).Let’s the pupils answer the question:
1) Did robin kill the sheriff?
2) Why was the sheriff angry?
4.Teach picture 10-14.
Read the sentences (pictures10-14). Try to retell the picture. The Ss understand:What’s the sheriff’s trick?
5. Read end of the story(picture 15-16).
The Ss know: In the end, Robin’s men were the winners.
Step3: practice:
1. The Ss read beginning of the story, developing of the story and end the story.
2. Tick “Ture or False”.
3. Number the sentences.
