二、教学目标

（一）语言知识

1. 新词汇：The Olympic Games, the Olympic flame, the Olympic flag, events, circles, rings, hurdling, ice hockey, diving, boxing, the long jump, the high jump.

2. 句型：My favorite event(s) is(are)…. I …(once a week). It makes me ….

（二）技能的培养

1. 学生能用英语描述事物的本质，培养学生听、说、读、写、看这五种技能。

2. 培养学生用英语进行交际、思维的能力。例如在本课中，学生要达到用英语描述奥运的相关知识：奥运会的重要标志是火炬和五环旗，奥运会的主要项目、举办城市和时间、最喜欢的体育选手等，并能通过本课的学习，能准确说出自己喜欢的项目和原因。

（三）情感态度

通过对历届奥运会尤其是北京奥运会的回顾，让学生在视觉上受到冲击，与赛场上的选手们的拼搏精神产生共鸣，点燃学生的爱国激情，培养学生进一步热爱自己的祖国，增强学生的民族自豪感，并把这种拼搏精神延伸到日常的学习和生活当中，养成良好的意志品质。

通过小组合作学习，培养小组合作精神，提高小组竞争意识，渲染比赛追求快和强的氛围。

（四）思维品质

培养学生通过阅读文本后，对知识进行整合并输出，能很好地锻炼了学生的逻辑思维能力，同时锻炼了学生的口头表达能力。

三、教学重点和难点

重点：能理解有关奥运的内涵，例如了解奥运圣火和五环旗是奥运的重要标志，对奥运项目和某些曾经举办过奥运会的国家城市有大致的了解，对奥运的显著选手有所认识，结合本课的教学内容，能用本课的语言知识描述自己喜欢的体育项目，学习奥运精神，从而培养学生从小要爱运动强体魄，体现奥运文化的传播、文明的传递。

难点：让学生突破通过文本的阅读，提取文本信息并加工从而生成自己的语言，实现语言思维品质的发展和提升。
