Teaching procedure :
Step 1 . Sing a song “I See Yellow”
Step 2 . Review the words
1.The teacher show the word cards and choose someone to read .
2.Play a game :I say , you do .(The T say the words ,the students need to show the word card as quickly as possible .)
3.Competition Game: The students need to point the word as quickly as possible.
4. Look and match on Page 36
First , the students finish the exercises , then , the teacher choose students to share .
Step 3. Review the sentence
Group work 1 : Talk with your friends on Page 35
(First,make dialogues in groups. Then,choose one or two groups share for us.) eg. A: Can I help you ? B: Yes. A pen ,please .
A: What colour ? B: Blue . It's blue .
A: OK. Here you are . B: Thank you .
A: Not at all .
Step 4. Expansion
Look and say (The T show a red pen .eg. T:What’s this ? Ss: It’s a pen . T: What colour is it ? Ss: It’s red . T: Also we can say “It’s a red pen .)
Group work 2 : The students discuss how to describe the things in their group .Then practice to describe the other pictures .
Step 5. Homework
Describe the things with the words and sentence in our daily life .
