Use the word cards to check how much words that the students still remember and help them to review the words by reading and acting.
I give the order and the students do as what I told. Such as ‘One, two, three, touch your head’ and so on.
Step 2 Presentation
Ask students with ‘Are your hands clean?’ They answer with ‘Yes, they are.’ or ‘No, they aren’t.’ Then I will say ‘show me your hands’, which can help them review the word ‘show’. And we will learn ‘dirty’, a word with the opposite meaning of the words ‘clean’.
After they learned the phrase ‘dirty hands’, then I will use the body language to show the phrase ‘wash your hands’.
List some words which students may not know or can not read in the text, such as grandma, pear. Then teach them to read.
Play the tape, and let students listen first. After listening the tape, ask them if they can read some words or sentences of the text. And let them read as possible as they can.
Let them read after me sentence by sentence. And then tell then the meaning of the text.
Step 3 Practice
Divide the class into two groups. One read the words of grandma, and another of DuXiaomao.
The boys read the words of grandma, and the girls of Du Xiaomao.
Let the volunteers to read in roles.
Step 4 Consolidation
Play games.
Step 5 Summary
Let some students tell what they have learned in this course.
Step 6 Assessment
Write the two key words, clean and dirty, in their exercise books. Practice the dialogue with classmates after the class.
