T: Spring is coming. I like spring. I’m happy. Are you happy?
Ss: Yes, I do. (出示happy板书)
T: Who is he?
Ss: He’s Liu Tao.
T: Is Liu Tao happy?
Ss: No, he’s not.
T: What’s the matter? Let’s ask together. (引导学生一起问刘涛怎么了。并出示板书What’s the matter?)
Ss: He’s thirsty and tired. (出示thirsty/ tired板书)
T: We know Liu Tao is thirsty and tired. What about this little boy? What’s the matter with him?
听录音,发现小男孩怎么了?试着给出依据“I’m thirsty.”
T: What will you do to help him? 利用饮料图片帮助学生回答。
T: What will the little girl do to help him? 听录音,找出小女孩是怎么帮助他的。“Here’s some water.”
Step 2. Presentation

T: I’m sad. (出示sad板书)
S1: Here’s a doll for you.

同理引出 hot, hungry, ill并板书。
T: What’s the matter?
S2: Guess.
