Students can master the basic words about color and some useful oral English expressions.
Difficult point:
Students can get detailed information from listening to the English material.
III Teaching procedures:
Step 1: Warming up
Sing a chant with students together, the content of the chant is as follows:
Red is color for the tomato;
Yellow is color for the banana;
Blue is color for the sky and sea;
Green is color for the leaves on the three;
We are little kids, little kids.
Step 2: Presentation
1. Show different color cards and stick them on the left part of the blackboard and stick different tapes of cloth on the right part of the blackboard.
2. Introduce the new words to students and play a word game.
3. Listen to the material and ask students the topic of the dialogue.
Step 3: Practice
1. Listen to the material and ask some questions.
(1) What color is Sam’s hat?
(2) What color is Amy’s sweater?
(3) How dose Amy think about her trousers?
2. Listen to the material again and then match the color on the left to the cloth on the right according to what they have listened and check the answer together.
Step 4: Production
Students work in groups of four to make a role play in front of the class,teacher will give them reward according to their performance.
Step 5: Summary & Homework
Students summarize this class with teacher together, and the home work is that students share what they have learnt with their parents.
