四．设计理念：
新课程标准强调课程从学生的学习兴趣、生活经验和认知水平出发，倡导体验、实践、参与、合作与交流的学习方式和任务型的教学途径。把学生作为学习的主体，结合本课内容，创设任务，使学生自然地融入到英语学习中，建构知识技能，并设计不同的教学活动，使不同层次的学生都能得到提高。
五．设计思路：
1.本单元的话题是谈论宠物，在story time板块中Nancy /Mike、 LiuTao和SuHai分别描述了四种小动物的外貌特征和行为能力，基于学生对于知识的理解和运用能力，教师引导示范学习 Nancy和Mike动物之后，在学生掌握学习方法的基础上，指导学生完成mind map.
2.五年级学生争强好胜的心理较强，发挥这一优势，我采用多种活动形式，贯穿整个课堂教学活动，充分调动学生的学习积极性。

设计意图：课前 《 my body parts》 不仅帮助同学们回忆起以前学过的关于身体部位的单词，同时活泼轻松的歌曲，激发了学生学习兴趣，更活跃课堂气氛。
