三、教学重难点
教学重点:引导学生根据图片、提示词或表格中的提示词复述出个人的健康问题及用must/should/shouldn’t给出相关建议。
教学难点:引导学生利用表格提示运用动名词当主语来谈论健康问题。
四、教学过程
Step 1 Warming (3min)
“Today, let’s learn Unit 2 Topic 2 I must ask him to give up smoking. Section A”
“First, let’s enjoy a short video See the doctor.”
(After listening)
“The story is houmous. Now can you answer a question:
What should Ade do ?”
Students can say freely with the pictures help.
设计意图:通过幽默语言的短视频播放使学生情绪放松,引起课堂兴趣。图片辅助学生回忆相关建议,降低难度,鼓励学生开口说英语;问题的设置其一是检测学生的听力能力,二是为引出今天的主话题:谈论健康,做好铺垫。
Step 2 Preparing (2min)
“Ade stays up late these days. It cause him ill.”
“There is a new word cause, we have learnt another word because, how do we sound it? ”
Ss pronounce the word easily.
“Now let’s remove the letters re, how can we sound it now ?
Ss sound the word cause.
“Yes. It sounds ”
“It causes him ill means it makes him ill. Then what should we do to be healthy ?”
设计意图:由上一环节的最后一个回答Ade shouldn’t stay up late抛出It causes him ill引出生词cause,并借助已学过学生有非常熟悉的because这次的发音来引导学生拼读出生词cause的读音,同时还是用学生熟悉的句子It makes him ill来解释生词的词义;最后抛出的问题为下一环节做衔接。
Step 3 Practice (10min)
Part 1 Teacher new words
“What should we do to be healthy ? Here are some pictures and phrases to help you.”
“Let’s have a look at Phrase 3,there are two new words in it. First is L-I-T-T-E-R, we can divide it into two parts, one is -lit, I believe you can sound it. (Ss pronounce it ) Yes. It sounds [lit]; the other part is -tter, I think you can sound it ,too. (Ss pronounce it ) Yes, you are so great. It sounds [t?]. The whole word sounds [`lit?]”
Then point to the picture banana skin and tell Ss it’s litter. It’s useless.
