Step 1 Warm up

Read Unit 1 Story time, Grammar time and Cartoon time,and then Ss discuss in groups and try to find the main points in this unit.

Step 2 Review

1、Revise “There is/are”

(1)Retell the sentences “There is/are” in the text.

(2)Game “Choose and say”.

(3)Summary.

Revise “--- is/are too ---.”

(1)Retell the sentences in the text.

(2)Look at the pictures and make sentences.

3、 Revise “Prepositional phrases”

Phrase competition.

Step 3 Expanding

Guessing game “What’s in my bedroom?” Lead in the sentences “-Is there ---?-Yes, there is /No, there isn’t. –Are there any ---? –Yes, there are./ No, there aren’t.”

Teach “any”.

Explain.

Read example sentences.

Ss try to make to make sentences with “any”.

3、Guess in pairs what is in his/her bedroom.

Step 4 Consolidation

1、Teacher asks a top student some questions about his bedroom, then the student introduce his bedroom perfectly.

2、Ss try to write a composition to introduce their bedrooms.

3、 Exercise:Read and choose.(Choose and tell the reasons)

Step 5 Homework

Finish the exercises.(《课课练》P58-59)
