2. Let’s guess
T: Before the class begins, let’s play a game first. Let’s guess who is she. Look at the clues on the screen. I can tell you she is one of your teachers!
PPT shows the sentences:
She is tall.
Her hair is brown.
She wears a pair of glasses.
She has a lovely son.
She teaches Chinese in a primary school. (小学)
Ss: She’s Miss Zhou!
T: Yes! She is Miss Zhou! Miss Zhou teaches Chinese, so she is a …?
Ss: A teacher!
T: Yes! Miss Zhou is a teacher. She teaches Chinese. I am a teacher, too. I teach English. Teacher is my job. I love my job. We have learned many jobs in last period. Do you remember?
Ss: Yes!
【设计意图】利用双屏幕帮助学生更直观的看视频和新课的关联性和过渡性。在刚引入新课的时候一个屏幕展示课题和封面,另一个屏幕展示课堂活动或者视频。学生在双屏课堂更可以体验教学设计中各个环节的互相关联性。
II. Pre- reading
Let’s listen
T: Let’s listen to the song “what does he do”. After listening, please tell me what jobs do you hear in this song. Are you ready?
Ss: Yes!
T plays the flash. Then Ss are supposed to answer “a teacher, a doctor, a driver…”
2. T: Good job! We hear so many jobs in the song. Can you say more jobs?
Ss are supposed to review these 8 jobs in story time.
3. T writes these jobs on the blackboard.
T: Excellent! We have leaned these 8 jobs in last period. Look at the blackboard. My next question is can you say more words about each job? For example, “what to do” for a teacher maybe is teaching students. Now, you have time to discuss with your partners and tell me “what to do” for the other 7 jobs. Are you ready?
Ss: Yes!
T: Ok! Go!
