Step 1： 通过Tim的描述让学生懂得First， next, then and finally这四个词的功能。
T: Boys and girls, this song is about …?
Ss: Christmas.
T: Yes,Christmas is coming soon. At Christmas ,people are happy ,people are busy. look at these pictures, who are happy and busy too?
Ss: Mike and his family
T: Right, at Christmas，Mike and his family do many things, but can you see their grandparents?
SS:No.
T: Maybe they live in defferent cities, so now, Mike’s brother Tim wants to tell his grandparents about his Christmas. Listen to him.

T: Oh, look, Tim’s grandparents are puzzled. So how can we help him say better? Maybe some words can help.
S: First,next, then, ...
T: Yes, if we want to speak well, we can use ‘First, next, then and finally’. Now let’s try to help Tim say better.

T: Well –done! Look, Tim’s grandparents can understand him now. Mike and his family have a happy Christmas, do you want to have a happy Christmas too?
Ss: Yes.
引导学生have a Christmas party
T: So let’s have a Christmas party, Ok?
Ss: OK.
T: Now try to think, what can we do at the party?

Step 2： Present the host’s plan for the party
T: I like your ideas, but now I’m your host for the Christmas party. I plan for my Christmas party(板书). Guess ,what’s my plan? What shall we do first?
Ss: Sing a song .(板书)。

S: We wish you a Merry Christmas.
