1. Show a map and talk about: Where do they live?

(1) Where does Su Hai/Yang Ling/Mike/Liu Tao live?

She/ He lives …

(2) Free talk: Where do you live? I live…

(3) Sum up: When you want to know someone’s address, you can ask “Where do/does

sb. live?” And we can answer “Sb. live/ lives in/on/near/far from…”.

2. T: Yang Ling lives near school, but Mike, Su Hai and Liu Tao don’t. They live far from school. So they come to school in different ways: How do they come to school?

(1) How does Su Hai/Yang Ling/Mike/Liu Tao come to school?

(2) Free talk: How do you come to school?

(3) Sum up: When you want to know about the way someone comes to school, you can ask “How do/does sb. come to school?” And we can answer like this “sb. come/comes to school by…/on foot.”

Step 3 Presentation

1. Show Table 2 and Table 4 (P19, Grammar time).

(1) Read the sentences and try to find the rules. (三单和非三单的使用)

(2) Pay attention to the use of the prepositions: on Moon Street, near…, in Sunshine Town, far from school, by bus/metro/…, on foot

2. Do ask and answer in pairs: Where do you live? I live in/on… How do you come to school? I come to school by car/on foot/…

Step 4 Consolidation

1. Do a survey: Where do you live? How do you come to school?

(1) Do a survey in groups of four: ask, answer & record. (四人一组进行接龙问答,记录调查信息,师相机指导)

(2) Report the survey

Choose one member of your group and report his/her information.

2. Know your teachers

Show two teachers’ photos. Ask two students to come to the blackboard and each gets a paper with some information of one teacher. Let other students to ask the two student questions so that they can know more about the teachers.

Step 4 Homework

1. Use “where” and “how” to do ask and answer with your partner.

2. Think and write: Where do you live? How do you come to school? What about your friends?

3. Know more about vehicles.
