2. Learn the sentence structure of “there be...”.

教学难点:

How to describe the positions of things with prepositions in real situations.

(如何在真实情景中用介词描述物体的位置)

自学检测:

通过看图完成句子训练方位介词,在情景中更好的理解方位介词的用法。

教学步骤:

Step1.Show the learning aims on the screen.(展示学习目标)

Step2 Sing a song“on, in ,by, under”. Get students to be familiar with the prepositions.

Step3 Show the prepositions on the screen. Ask students to do TPR activities.

(屏幕上展现方位介词,通过打方位拳加深学生对方位介词的印象)

Step4 Ask two students to do TPR activities in the front of the classroom.

Show some pictures on the screen. Ask the students to fill in the blanks with prepositions.(通过看图完成句子训练方位介词,在情景中更好的理解方位介词的用法。)

Step5 通过做游戏“What’s in the bag?”练习there be句型的一般疑问句及其回答。

Step6 Present the phrases in the text. Ask students to read the phrases by themselves. Ask one student to read the phrases and the others to follow.

(呈现课文中出现的关于方位介词的词组,通过自学,让学生领读介词短语)

Step7 Self-check. Ask the students to translate the phrases from Chinese to English.

(通过翻译词组检测词组的掌握情况)

Step8 Show a picture of Jane’s study. Ask the students to describe the things in the study using the sentence structure of “there be...”.

Step9 Watch the flash about 1a and answer two questions.

1.What’s on the desk?

2. Where is the clock?

Step10 Listen to 1a. Mark T or F.

1. The sofa is near the desk. ( )

2. There is a clock on the desk. ( )

3. The football is under the desk. ( )

4. Jane's study is nice. ( )

Step11 Read 1a and fill in the blanks.

This is Jane’s study. There are many books___ the shelves. There is a computer, some books and a lamp ___ the desk. There is a clock ___ ___ her family photo ___ the wall. There is a sofa ___ the desk. There is a football___ the chair.

Step12 Ask the students to read by themselves.
