教学流程:(Teaching stages)
Stage1 Before Reading
A board game( a warmer) , Students sit in groups of 5 , but they play the board game in groups of 2 or 3, there are many expressions about sports and sentence patterns to review what they have learnt before. And the topic is about sports , which can be easily lead in the Olympic games. This purpose of this games is also to stimulate the students to communicate in English.
New words learning
Some new words in the passage : the Olympic games, ancient Olympics, a symbol of, at least , in the flag of , stand for
Stage 2 while –reading
Jigsaw Reading (divide the passage into A. B. C paragraphs, Students in Group A1, A 2,read passage A and complete table A.
Students in Group B1, B 2,read passage B and complete table B.
Students in Group C1, C2,read passage C and complete table C.
students check their answers in groups
Students complete other tables by asking questions of the members in other groups.( For example, students in Group A should go and ask students in group B.C to complete table B.C)
Go back to their groups and check the answers.
Stage 3 After –reading ( Read for write)
students write their own passage according to
the information they get from other groups . and each group work together to complete one paragraph ( Students in Group A1, write passage B , students in A2 write passage C ; Students in Group B1 write passage A, students in Group B 2 write passage C ; Students in Group C1 write passage A, students in Group C 2 write passage B )

T choose one passage to compare ,and explain some points of good writing.
