T:What does the boy do on Mother’s Day?
T: In the book, the boy likes helping his mother do the housework. Do you like helping your parents?
S1: Yes, I do.
T : Here ‘parents’ refers to father and mother.——揭示课题
Today we will learn Unit 5 Helping our parents.

【设计意图:通过Brain storm让学生掌握和家务劳动有关的词组sweep the floor, wash the dishes, clean the desk, make the bed,然后使用新学的这些词组,说出自己为家人做的力所能及的家务劳动。接着引出我们的主人翁Mike帮助爸爸洗车的环节,那么其余的家庭成员又在干什么呢?利用这个问题逐步呈现出本单元Story time的第一幅课文插图,巧妙导入到Story time的学习之中。】
