T: The Mid-Autumn autumn festival is a Chinese festival. There are some other Chinese fetivals.

Teach Double Seventh Festival, Lantern Festival(read and write on the blackboared –lantern ), Qingming Festival.

T: There are also Western and Internatioanl festivals.

Quick response: Is it a Western festival or an International festival?

e.g. Mother’s Day is an International festival. Christmas, Easter, etc.

S: Chistmas is an Western festival.

T: We know these western and international festivals very well. People in the western countries want to know about our Chinese festival. I got a message from my friend yesterday.

Present Jack—an American boy—tell him your favourite Chinese festival.

T: This is Jack. He’s from the US. He wants to be friends with you. Can you tell him what’s your favourite Chinese festival? Let’s send a voice wechat to him.

Step2. Revision

1. Talk about their favourite festival with deskmates first, then check/ send voice mail.

2. Jack back a voice mail: Thank you. I like all the Chinese festival. I want to tell you about my favourite festival in the US.

Step 3. Culture time

Jack tells you about his favourite festival. Listen and choose—what festival? When is it?

Learn Halloween from happy and yellow.

Teach knock from know and knife. Learn the sound of “kn”.
