Step 1 Warm up

1. Greetings: Good afternoon! Do you like cartoons?

2.Free talk : Students talk about which fairy tale they like or which cartoon characters they like.

(设计意图:用一首大家熟知的“冰雪奇缘”Let it go激发学生谈论他们喜爱的卡通人物和童话故事的兴趣,唤醒已有相关主题“童话故事”的知识储备。)

Step 2 Pre-reading

1.Tell students teacher become to be a magician , and can bring some characters in fairy tales.

2.Lead students to define the word “magic”and the sentence”Long long ago ,there was...”

(设计意图:老师扮演魔术师,激发孩子好奇心,调动孩子学习积极性。利用几个童话故事主人公 自然过渡出文本故事的主人公,并在此过程中自然扫除了文本中的部分单词障碍,为接下来的阅读作铺垫。)

Step 3 While-reading

Observe the pictures and guess “What the story’s name?”(the famous fairy tale)(设计意图:通过观察图片,唤起孩子对中文故事“皇帝新装”的已知记忆,整体感知文本大致意义,为接下来学生细读英文版故事做铺垫)

Guide students to ask some questions with who/where/when/why/how

(设计意图:通过呈现国王未着装的图片,引发孩子好奇心,并引导孩子针对接下来的故事发展情节进行推测和提问,培养学生带着问题高效读文章的阅读策略。)

Read paragraphs one by one and get the detailed information

Para1 :Read and answer :

Para2 : Read and underline the answer on the screen
