V. Teaching Process
i. Leading in
Show the students a photo about our field trip last year, and talk about the place we went and animals we saw. Simultaneously, introduce some new words in the story.
ii. Pre-reading
Have a free talk about whether large and strong animals can be good friends with small and weak ones.
iii. Fast reading
Watch the video, enjoy the story and then add a title to it. If possible, ask the students to put some sentences in order. If not, leave it to be a task of careful reading.
iv. Careful reading
Read after the teacher picture by picture, paragraph by paragraph, and then answer some questions. During the analysis of the story, students will focus on the words and some students can have a role play of the dialogue.
Find the hidden meaning of the story.
Read in groups and then pick words to play charades.
v. Post-reading
Have a quiz about words.
vi. Homework
Have a discussion and then make a new story in each group with pictures.
