1. T: We knew the story in Chinese. Who can say something about it?

S1 说说故事

T: You knew the story well. Now let’s learn the story together.

2. T: There are three scenes in this story. What are they? Read the story quickly and think.（学生自读绘本）

Scene 1 : The ugly duckling came out.

Picture 1 and Picture 2

Scene 2 : No one liked the ugly duckling. He left.

Picture 3 and Picture 4

Scene 3 : The ugly duckling became a swan.

Picture 5 and Picture 6

3. T: Now, let’s learn the scenes one by one..

Scene 1

1、T: Look, there were four eggs in the nest. One was big and the others were small. Whose eggs were they?

S: They were Mother Duck’s.

T: Yes. Mother Duck had four eggs in her nest. (对比next)

T: What did Mother Duck do?

S: She sat on the eggs.（出现sit— sat）

T: Here “sat” is the past tense of “sit”.

Mother Duck sat on the eggs. What does it mean?（出现sat on the eggs）Think and choose. A. 坐在鸡蛋上 B. 孵蛋√

Ss选择。（1）选A：But here, which one is better ?

（2）选B：It means Mother Duck helped her babies out of the eggs.

T: Now, let’s read Picture 1.

2、T: About twenty days later, the eggs opened one by one. The little ducklings jumped out. Look at the ducklings. How were the ducklings?（师相机追问：Were they all lovely?）

S: （No.）The three ones were small and lovely. One was big and ugly.

Scene2

1、T: Were the family nice to the big duckling? Read Scene 2.

S: No, they weren’t.

T: How do you know?

Ss 相机读出句子。Are you my baby? You’re ugly. / They didn’t … and…

/ you’re so ugly. Go away! 师相应出现红色。
