北师大版必修二《Unit 5 Rhythm Bulletin Board》优秀教案设计

This unit is about keeping healthy, which is a practical and helpful topic for students to gain some knowledge for having a healthy life. All the language knowledge and language skills of this unit are designed according to this topic.

This section is a dialogue practice lesson. Before this period, we have learnt reading, language study, listening, and integrating skills. So it plays a necessary and summing-up role in the English teaching of this topic. After this period, I hope students can learn much about the good living habits and also they learn to make up a dialogue to tell others about keeping healthy.

2. Teaching Aims:

According to these, I set my teaching aims as follows:

To learn more about giving advice on how to keep healthy. (Knowledge aim)

To do some dialogue practice to improve the students’ oral expression ability. (Ability aim)

To learn to how to lead a healthy life. (Emotional aim)

3. Teaching Important and Difficult Points:

(1) Help the students know better about how to keep healthy, then use proper words and sentence patterns for description.

(2) Learn to state instructions correctly by using the ordering words to make up a dialogue about giving advice.

Part II Analysis of the Students

The topic of this unit is relatively familiar to the students, since they meet with all kinds of health problem in their life. From the aspect of students, I’ll lay particular emphasis on developing students’ interest in English and provide the students with a good environment, relaxing atmosphere, and more chances for individual practice and free drills.

Part III My Teaching Theories, Methods and Aids to deal with this lesson

1. Teaching Theories:

In the course of dealing with this lesson, I’ll make every effort to carry out the following theories:

Try to make the students the real masters while the teacher herself acts as a director and helper.

Since it is a dialogue practice lesson, it is especially important to develop the students’ speaking ability.

Seek to make the best of encouraging and enlightening remarks, in order to develop the students’ quick mind and heat the classroom atmosphere.

Make the best of the multimedia to make the class more lively and interesting.

Let the students receive some moral education while they are learning the English language.

2. Teaching Methods:

(1) Situational language teaching;

(2) Question-and-answer activity teaching method;

(3) Double activities teaching method;

(4) Task-based teaching;
