Step 1
Tell the students the standards of grading.
Step 2
Show the basic steps of writing before writing it on the paper, then give them an example to analyze these basic steps.
Step 3
Let the students know how to improve the writing ---- advanced words and expressions; changing sentences; proper transitions; neatness.
Examples:
Advanced expressions:
1. We should know some ways to protect ourselves.

Changing sentences:
If we have enough time, we can ... .

3. When a fire breaks out, first, we should be calm.
4. We can stay under a table. That is a safe place in an earthquake.
Step 4
Practice makes perfect ---- let the students practice writing by using what they have learned.
